Nobian site with Altrad

Frank Mustermann works for the company Altrad and is a project leader at the site in Nobian.

They are working on a plant structure, which they call a chimney, that has internal issues. Scaffolding has been built on the outside of this structure to safely allow people and material to get upstairs, while rope access will be used inside. The structure is very high, about 30 meters. An elevator lift will also be used for people and material.

Traditionally, doing this type of project would require a person on every floor, possibly 20 people for the same result when done by hand. Currently, the project is being completed by five people: three upstairs and two down, using LIFTBOT. Altrad Benelux is always looking for new technology to get ahead of the competition and do the best for its people.
